If a site uses your work
Snappy Site hosts websites for small businesses. If one of them uses your photo, text or other work without permission, send us a written notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Send notices to copyright@thesnappysite.com.
What to include
Your name, address, phone number and email. The work you own, or a link to it. The web address of each page that uses it. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by you, your agent or the law. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act for them. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name works).
What we do
We remove or hide the material, usually within two business days, and tell the site owner, including a copy of your notice. Notices missing the details above may be delayed while we ask for them.
If your content was removed
If you own the site and believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentified, send us a counter-notice: your name, address, phone number and email; what was removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or any district where Snappy Site may be found, if you are outside the United States), and that you will accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. We forward it to the person who sent the notice and may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a lawsuit.
Repeat infringers
We suspend the accounts of owners who repeatedly use other people's work without permission.
